Creating a Tournament List
To create a tournament list, choose a faction, then select up to 10 characters, all belonging to that faction. Models that cannot normally be played together in the same troop, such as Grub and Herbert Growbottom, can be included in the tournament list but cannot be used simultaneously in the same game.
Models that can be summoned by other characters on your list, such as Murder Bunnies, Psychopomps, or Striga Anaya, do not need to be included in the tournament list and can be summoned normally.
Models that can either start the game in play or be summoned, such as the Jackalope or the Echo of the Forgotten King, can be summoned even if they are not on your tournament list. However, they can only be chosen and deployed in your starting army if they are on this list.
Upgrade and Campaign cards are not allowed.
Players use 6 characters per game. The other characters on their tournament list remain in reserve and are not in play. During deployment, players choose one of their available characters each time they need to deploy a model, until they reach 6 deployed characters.
Games are played with the standard scenario, with 2 players and 7 Moonstones. If no winner is determined at the end of turn 4, the game continues in sudden death. The Moonstones must be dropped by the players (roll a die to determine who drops them). Each player has one Mulligan according to the rules of the standard scenario.

Deployment
Deployment follows the usual rules (i.e., from one of the four table edges).

Miniatures:
On tournament day, players must bring all the miniatures they might need, including any summonable miniatures, in addition to all the characters on their tournament list.
They must also bring all the necessary equipment to play:
- Measuring tools
- Dice and Moonstones
- Arcane Deck
- Melee Deck
- Up-to-date character cards.
The latest character cards and version number list can be downloaded from the downloads section of the Moonstone website:
https://www.Moonstonethegame.com/downloads.

Modeling:
Miniatures must be fully assembled and mounted on a suitably sized base.

All miniatures must be Moonstone models, but conversions are permitted. The majority of the converted miniature must be made from parts of the model in question and remain clearly identifiable as the model being represented.

Only fully painted miniatures are allowed.

Pre-game sequence
: a. Players discuss and agree on the terrain types to be used.
b. Each player shows their opponent their list of 10 characters.
c. Players drop the Moonstones. Each player may use 1 Mulligan. If both players are unhappy with the result, they may perform a mutual Mulligan without spending their personal Mulligan.
d. Roll to determine which player has Initiative or chooses their table edge.
e. The player who chooses the table edge selects a model from their tournament list and deploys it. Their opponent then does the same, and so on until each player has deployed 6 characters.
If both players use the same character, this is allowed. For example, if Player A plays Doug the Flatulent, this does not prevent Player B from also playing Doug the Flatulent.
f. Start the game and have fun!

Tournament structure:
The tournament uses a Swiss round system.
The first round is drawn randomly.
No player will face the same opponent twice.
A player's tournament score is calculated by adding the results of all their games:
0 points for a loss,
1 point for a draw, and
2 points for a win.
In addition to tournament points, players must also record the total number of Moonstones collected, which will be used to break any ties in the standings
