The Party Has Started!
Hello you beautiful bundles of flesh, bacteria and whimsy!
At the start of February, just after we announced the Goblin King’s 10th Birthday celebration, I got my blacksmithing gear on and forged 30 of my finest Spords for our event packs, thinking that should last us a good 6 months based on last year’s numbers. Dear readers, I was very, very wrong (I’m watching Bridgerton if you can’t tell). All 30 event packs I made up have already been swept up and cast across the globe ready to celebrate our birthday, and of the next 24 we only have 9 5 left!
Whilst this annoys me no end because I have to actually work rather than swanning around the Goblin King offices making terrain, spewing spreadsheets and naming things, it does mean that the party celebrations are already in full swing! Our Goblins in the field have written up just a few of the awesome events that took place in February.
Thanks to everyone who has run an event and there’s plenty of time to get involved (and to enter the competition)!
Eine Kliene Wereld’s Birthday Bash
“What a party it is was, a few familiar faces but also lots of new faces; people we met on Spellenspektakel or who had a demo during the Experience Weekend, less than a month ago.
It was proven once again: you're never too old to learn. And also you're never too experienced to learn new things....
One special tribute to Anjo (the lady in red cape), just two days before, I had the honour to introduce her to the world of Tauber. During this B-Day Bash, Anjo played the sisters-three (witches) with Dranyer (my models, since she didn't own any yet) and she managed to get first place!
She wasn't the only one, as there were two winners; the other being Stan, Stan also joined the world of Tauber just recently.
Congrats to both, Stan and Anjo, for being the 'winners'.
That said, CONGRATS to all participants, 'cause it was a fantastic day, everyone enjoyed alot!
A Special reward - most festively (dressed) player - also went to Anjo, dressed as an elf.”

2 Fast 2 Flatulent- Beachhead
Beachhead has hosted a Moonstone Tournament for many years now and this year seemed like the perfect opportunity for a two-day party. Players shuffled in from all across the UK and even Suzie the Lore Goblin managed to attend and came a respectable 6th place!
Thanks to all for coming and playing your part in a fantastic weekend. Hope you all had a great time.

Fifth Place and Top Dominion - Samantha Morgan - Goblins 3-1-2

Moonstone at the Tower
Not long after Beachhead Suzie ran her monthly event in Basingstoke, which had a fabulous turnout! Thanks to everyone who came along for birthday cookies and several games across the afternoon. If you’re local, Suzie says you’re welcome to come along any time. Oh, and there’s a Basingstoke-based tournament in July too, so please do sign up for that!
Winter Stone - Dark Sphere
The SpringStone Moonstone Tournament was a day of magical mischief featuring three competitive rounds, model drafting, and a host of prizes at Dark Sphere Shepherd’s Bush. As part of the 2026 event series (WinterStone, SpringStone, SummerStone, and AutumnStone) leading up to the exclusive Season of Moonstone Invitational, this tournament continues our look back at the game’s humble origins while bringing the community together for fun and friendly competition.

Trouble in Tauber 3 - Gold Coast Games
We had a fantastic time and some seriously good competition. Amazing to see a new young player absolutely smash it and almost make it to top table on his first tournament (well done Thierry!).
Sadly my Faeries couldn’t chase those meddling witches fast enough in the final, so I’ll have to settle for second place. Diana is FUMING about it though. Liam took his second Moonstone tournament win (thanks GKG for making the witches EVEN better...)
Can’t wait until our next big tournament at TabletopCon Gold Coast in May!
Ciaran- Goblin Crew
Oooh, one month in and already the prize draw list is filling up with competitors and event organisers from these amazing birthday parties! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings, so make sure you send your event reports and photos in to me at office@moonstonethegame.com and we’ll see if next month can be even bigger!
